Before I get to what I’m thankful for this year, I’m going to first start with a flashback. This is what I posted on my blog last Thanksgiving:
This holiday season I am especially thankful. I am back in Cleveland with family, friends, and familiar surroundings. I am about to go on a fun vacation and when I get back I am moving into a new downtown apartment. And, most wonderful of all, there is a fantastic new person in my life. I definitely feel blessed. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Now, one year later I feel even more thankful and blessed for where I find myself. The “fantastic new person in my life” became my wife and the apartment turned into a house. I would say that I couldn’t have seen this past year coming, but that wouldn’t be entirely true. I knew early on that V was special and I wasn’t about to let her get away.
V is what I’m most thankful for this year, along with the rest of my family–including my new family in Shanghai. I’m also thankful for keeping my job and a steady paycheck in these uncertain times. Let’s hope for prosperity ahead. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I am so lucky that I have you! I am very thankful for having you in my life.
